Yeah - Clearly I was bored on the train. Nevertheless it was a fun experiment, I like the result, I like how the ceiling lights of the train appear to illuminate the grass outside, and it does feel just like how it feels to be bored on the train. Because it is boring.
To Cambridge
Open - PDI 6-10-2022
My first competition. Quite nerve-wracking. Didn’t know what to expect, what to submit, or how to judge an image for inclusion. So just threw in the current favourites. An Open category I think gave the false impression of informality when in retrospect it means you have a broader field in which you need to stand taller.
Judge didn’t like the plain sky in Wimpole Parkrun and would have used Photoshop’s ‘Replace Sky’ function to add interest. I was disgusted at this!
Decent scores for a first attempt at submitting things I think. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself…

Clunch Pit Wood
Looking for autumn colour. May need to give it a few days and sunnier weather. May not be Clunch Pit Wood. May be The Wood Next To Clunch Pit Wood…

Polos - Focus Stacking without correcting
Hmm. Boring and pointless. Might have more merit if I could line the hole up properly but my god that’s surprisingly tricky. Stacking artefacts too… Can’t decide if I like them just because the whole process is new to me, or I’m lazy. Shouldn’t rush things between commitments…
Focus Bracketing and Topaz AI test
I don’t like Topaz AI. Toooooo sensitive.
