Tidy your room

We had to tidy our rooms today. Holly spent six hours in her room manifestly not putting an awful lot of effort into the operation. Four o'clock this afternoon a notice appeared on her door:

Christmas

Extraordinarily, Holly and Rosie gave out all their gifts to other people this morning, before opening their own.

Luciano

Auntie Alex's friend Luciano bought us both great big cuddly toys for Christmas. They were lovely. Later that day...

Daddy: "So... What did you think of Alex's friend Luciano?"
Holly, wobbling her hand very Frenchly: "Hmm... comme ci comme ça."

Symmetry

Rosie and Daddy were talking about faces seeming to be symmetrical, but not being so. So we made symmetrical faces from pictures to see what happened.

Excited...

Rosie: "Holly... Guess how many days until Christmas."
Holly: "Nine! I counted on my fingers in bed!"

Mega Mean Machine

Holly and Rosie have set up a band called Mega Mean Machine. This is their first song:

Evidence

Putting an end to seven years of uncertainty, it appears that Rosie has found categorical proof of her superior age:

Daddy gets it wrong

Holly made a celebration picture for her snow globe. "This is a picture of his birth."

Daddy: "Right. Oh. OK. That's lovely. Er... Is that, er, an egg, and these little sperms?"

Holly: "No. That's baby Jesus, and those are angels."

So there we have it. Not Zack - Jesus. And not sperms - Angels.
