Serial Print 1

Judge: Ken Payne

Colour: Fallen Angel - 20/20

Monochrome: Lazy Godiva - 20/20

Both of these were held back, but then he held back nearly everything….

Serial PDI 1

Judge: Dave Hipperson | 20/20

The judge loved this. The light sprinkling of snow, the quality of the winter trees, and the highlight on the building from what could only be moonlight and a long cold exposure. In fact it was a 1/12 second infra-red exposure on a spring lunchtime, but everything he said was the look I was going for so I’ll take it as a victory.

Lens Baby

Lens experiments. Quite nice.

ARPS....

I have obsessed too long about this. So this is the ARPS panel I plan to submit. My confidence in the whole thing was getting lower and lower but it crept up slightly when I managed here to grade the colour correctly and find a pleasing arrangement. Next is to request a one-to-one and see how painful it is….

ARPS Terms & Conditions for Volunteers

These are the T’s & C’s that volunteers so far have been happy with:

  • Given a successfully decent image being taken I will submit that image digitally to RPS as my ARPS submission.

  • I will email you a full-resolution digital image file of the finished image as thanks for your help. If for some reason you want copies of all the images I take I would be happy to oblige, but they will be huge unprocessed raw files that you'll have to cope with yourself!

  • If the ARPS submission is successful I believe RPS like to add small versions of the images on their ARPS pages. I am able to decline that usage as they have a mechanism for that which would be unproblematicIf one person asks me to decline that usage I will decline it for all images because together they form a panel of fifteen.

  • I would include like to include approx 1600x1200 pixel images on my own website, in amongst all the other images. I can and would simply not do that if you request it. Certainly nobody visits my website anyway, and I do not use any remotely social media so no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blue Sky, etc and not even things like Flickr any more.

  • I wouldn’t be surprised if BN asked to use images, but that’s not the purpose of all this so I’d just say no for any images that were not explicitly approved by the subjects of the images. Were they to ask me, I would ask you and respond to them however you wished.

  • Copyright remains mine, but you can do what you want with it so long as you don't pretend you made it and if you credit me for it!

I can change these to suit, but it would get complicated probably…!
